Conflict Resolution

Disputes and conflict at work can be immensely time consuming and counterproductive. They are often not fully resolved and, if left to fester, will surface again when the pressure is on at the worst possible time for the business. If not dealt with at an early stage, conflict at work can escalate to a formal grievance or disciplinary hearing. At worst, one of the parties may resign and claim constructive dismissal through an employment tribunal.

It is possible to stop the spiral of discontent through mediation, an impartial confidential process that will allow both parties to reach an agreement together - often one that had not been thought of before. As both parties have contributed to the agreement, there will be ownership of the solution. At Cazemier Consulting, we have experience of mediation where we provide a listening ear, impartial and objective advice for both parties, with the aim of having a written agreement that can be implemented in the workplace. It is quick and easy to organise and much less costly than legal procedures.

Redundancy

Planning and delivering a redundancy programme is one of the most difficult aspects of managing a business and managing people. The decision-making around redundancies is factual and commercial, but the communication and delivery of the programme can become fraught with feeling and emotion.
